EXPLORE THE DIFFERENT BODIES WE HAVE

Through being a massage therapist and anatomy teacher my classes are very much built from looking at exploring what is going on with the individual body. No skeleton is the same, no muscle structure aligns in the exact same way. I try to steer clear of “right” ideas of certain poses and movements, so I invite you to come explore and investigate how you can move and what your body needs to relax, maintain strength both physically and mentally.

hatha yoga

I teach Hatha, using poses in a flowing and stimulating way. The classes enable people to take time to listen to what they need, to learn from how I teach about anatomy and relaxation but to find their own way. It feels very important. Having recently completed another anatomy course, my understanding and passion for developing body work has increased and feeds into the classes through both stronger poses but also softer/more subtle work, using the breathing muscles and bandhas to create that internal focus and strength. Working on an individual level yoga stretches and challenges, not only the muscles but also the mind, while connecting with our sometimes undernourished nervous system.

“Giving people agency is possibly one the best ways I found to help work with people release from the physical or emotional pain”

I offer one to one classes which can be a really nice way to introduce yourself to yoga as a beginner or to deepen your practise and focus on a certain pose or body part you are suffering with, be it emotionally or physically.
